Bill Beresky, Sr., 85, of Groves, Texas passed away Monday, June 22, 2020 in Porter, Texas. Bill was born October 24, 1934 in Rio Grande City, Texas to Charles Karol Beresky, Sr. and Lucrecia Moraida Beresky. He was a longtime area resident and furniture salesman for Port Arthur Furniture Store. Bill was a former member of St. Peters Catholic Church and the Optimist Club. He had a love for animals, football, fishing, and spending time with his grandchildren. Bill proudly served his country in the U. S. Air Force. He was preceded in death by his wife, Loretta Lestage Beresky, and two brothers Carl Beresky and Jimmy Beresky, Sr. Survivors include his daughters, Betty Jo Nicola and husband Nick of California, Sandra Sue Saenz and husband Joe of Hondo, TX, Cynthia Rose Guerrero and husband Steve of Floresville, TX, Julie Denise White and husband Kelly of Tomball, TX, Johnette Dyan Segura and husband Agustin of Fannett, TX; sons, Bill Beresky, Jr. and wife Jeannie of Port Arthur, TX, and Charles Lestage Beresky and wife Catherine of Porter, TX; eleven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and his beloved canine companion, Elsa. A visitation for family and friends will be Friday, June 26, 2020 at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves from 5:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. with a 7:30 p.m. rosary. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, June 27, 2020 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Groves with Reverend J. C. Coon officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves.
