Bill Odom, 62, of Port Neches, Texas died Sunday, August 18, 2013 at The Medical Center of Southeast Texas in Port Arthur, Texas. Bill was born on June 3, 1951 in Port Arthur, Texas to Paul and Alene Odom. He spent 4 years in the Marines before going into the Army to serve his country for another 16 years. Upon retiring, he moved his family back to Southeast Texas. He had a passion for fishing and fixing up cars. Those who knew him knew he loved his family. Bill is survived by his wife, Rose, two daughters, Sabrina Odom and Sarah Odom all of Port Neches; two step-daughters, Andrea Wilson and husband, J.R. of Orange and Mary Snell and husband, Aaron of Vidor. He is also survived by one granddaughter, Kathryn Odom, five step-grandchildren, his mother, Alene Odom and one brother, Thomas Odom and wife, Donna of Louisiana along with numerous other family members. He was preceded in death by his father, Paul Goodson Odom and numerous other family members. Memorial services will be held Thursday, August 22, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Levingston Funeral Home in Port Neches with Rev. Bryan Johnson officiating. I am saddened that my outstanding nephew is gone from this earth. I thank him for his serving our country for a good portion of his life.He was a great person and will be missed. I send condolences to all his family especially his wonderful mom, Alene Fisher Odom, who has been a great Sister-in-Law for approx. 62 years.
