Mrs. Porter was such an influence in my life. I was her aide in high school and she always was so sweet and funny. Then years later I became he house cleaner. She and Mr. Porter were always so generous to myself and my daughter.. She will surely be missed. Mr. Porter May your precious memories of your precious lady be the blanket of comfort to you. To the boys and their families, may you be comforted by remembering all that your mom stood for and taught you. Love to you all, Phyllis Arsement LaBure

Fifty Five years ago, I was one of Mrs. Porter's kindergarten students. Our paths crossed again during my High School years as she worked in the Library at NHS. Mr. and Mrs. Porter served as sponsors for many of the Choral Department activities like our school musical at that time. Some of us were also welcomed by the Porters to their getaway at Cow Creek where we enjoyed a canoe ride when the water was high enough. Through all of it, I have so many memories of the Porters and Mrs. Porter's unfailing sense of humor. She loved being around young people and collectively called the group of students that had been part of her kindergarten her "Kids". I send my heartfelt condolences to Mr. Porter and the family. May your memories be of comfort during your time of loss. Please know that Mrs. Porter was loved by many and that she will remain in our hearts, she was like no one else.
