Billy Bruce Carroll, Jr., 35, of Lake Jackson, Texas, passed away February 17, 2021. Billy was born on February 25, 1985 to Billy Bruce Carroll, Sr. and (Rachel L. Steele-Carroll) Rachel L. Strange.
Billy was a hard worker who truly loved his job. He was a NCCER certified Ironworker / Advanced Rigger. Billy was dedicated to advancing in his profession and strived to be the best in every aspect of his work. His profession allowed him to travel and explore new places, which brought joy to his life. Billy had a jovial personality and a laugh that would make anyone smile. Aside from work, Billy enjoyed working out and tinkering with his Harleys. Billy loved to cook, and he loved to eat, and he especially loved and missed his Granny’s cooking. Billy was a loving son, brother, friend, and above all, Billy was unapologetically himself. He will be deeply missed.
Those left to cherish Billy’s memory are his mother, Rachel L. Strange of Buna; brother, Benjamin Steele of Beaumont; grandmother, Nancy Carroll of McKinney, TX; grandfather, Frank Steele of Groves; and a large host of loving family members and friends. Billy is proceeded in death by his father, Billy Bruce Carroll, Sr.; his loving stepfather, Chad M. Strange; grandfather, Billy Bob Carroll; and grandmother, Deborah Saide and her husband Ronnie.
A gathering of family and friends to honor the life of Billy Bruce Carroll, Jr. will be held Saturday, March 6, 2021, from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at Melancon’s Funeral Home in Nederland, Texas.
