Billy "Red" Odle, 85, of Groves, Texas passed away Sunday, November 11, 2012. Billy was born February 4, 1927 in Randolph, Mississippi to Elmer Duff Odle and Mamie Hutchinson Odle. He was a resident of Groves for 52 years and member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. He worked as a carpenter and retired as an operator from Gulf Oil refinery after 33 years of service. He was a member of O.C.A.W. Local 4-23, Carpenters Local #502, and the Third Age Group. Billy was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Virgie Watkins; and brother, Buster Odle. Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Gladys Odle of Groves; two daughters, Gwen Wiedner and husband, David of Groves, Linda Dillard and husband, Kirk of Groves; two sons, Terry Odle and wife, Amy of Beaumont, Randy Odle and wife, Jo Ann of Glendale, CA; four sisters, Mozelle Tutor, Ola Faye McMinn, Mary Lou Moore, Effie Mae Steward all of Mississippi; five grandchildren, Clint Dillard and wife, Cyndi, Ashley Walters and husband, Josh, Lacy Powers and husband, Richard, Jeremy Wiedner, Shelby Odle; three great-grandchildren, Paisley Dillard, Blayne Dillard, Haidyn Powers; and numerous nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m., Friday, November 16, 2012 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Groves, Texas with Reverend Monsignor Kenneth Greig officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Levingston Funeral Home in Groves. A visitation for family and friends will be Thursday evening from 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
