Billy J. Worden

Billy J. "B.J." Worden, 83, of Groves, Texas passed away Monday, October 21, 2013 at the Medical Center of Southeast Texas in Port Arthur, Texas. Billy was born November 23, 1929 in Port Arthur, Texas. He was a lifelong area resident and graduated from high school in 1948. He retired in 1990 as an engineer for the Texas Highway Department. He was a member of the U.S. Army Reserves for 21 years and longtime member of West Groves Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Gert LeDoux Worden Survivors include his daughter, Linda Ann Worden of Houston, Texas. A graveside service will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, October 26, 2013 at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves, Texas with Mr. H. L. Collett officiating under the direction of Levingston Funeral Home in Groves. Friends wishing may make donations towards the funeral expenses.
