Blanch Marie Comeaux, 81, of Nederland, Texas passed away July 15, 2020. She was born in Beaumont, Texas on December 24, 1938 to the late Andrew Flowers and Lillian Provost Guidry. Before retiring she managed a T. G. & Y.

Those left to cherish Blanch’s memory are her daughter, Rachel Comeaux of Nederland; her grandchildren, Victoria Baker, Stephen Hartman, Jennifer Lopez-Aquilera, Crystal Forse, Philip Guidry, and Joshua Smith; her 13 great-grandchildren; and her brothers, David Flowers, of Vidor and A. J. Flowers of Vidor. She is preceded in death by her parents; her step-father Clasmey “Cam” Guidry; her husband Henry L. Comeaux; and her son Ronald A. Comeaux.

A gathering of family and friends will be held at Melancon’s Funeral Home in Nederland on Sunday, July 19, 2020 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a Rosary being recited at 5:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at Melancon’s Funeral Home on Monday, July 20, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens of Jefferson County in Nederland.

I’m so sorry for your loss. Blanche lived next door to my dad for as long as I can remember. After Mom passed away in 2011, she called him every morning at 9:00 sharp to check on him and if there was no answer she would walk over and knock on his door to make sure he was okay. She was a kind and caring person with a big heart. She was a good friend and I know my dad will miss her.

Rachel, so sorry to hear about your mom. She was such a blessing to my mom and dad in those last couple of years of my moms life. My dad was who your mom called out to for help ,the day your dad passed away. He was very upset on Friday evening when he found out your mother was no longer here,but had gone to heaven. I guess when you've been neighbors for 50+ years it truely is like loosing a family member. Please know you and your family are in our prayers. When my little sister was a toddler she would walk to blanches house with an empty bottle. Blanch would fill it with milk. When mom got up Terri would be drinking her bottle watching cartoons. The way mom knew was she sometimes hard wet grass on the bottom of her nightgown. Eventually mom found out it was Blanch filling her bottle up with milk. Has brought smiles to us a long time. My sister is 53 now

Miss Blanch came to be a part of our family when our son Philip married her granddaughter, Victoria. She was always a joy to be around. The photos covering her walls and table tops were a testimony of how much she loved her family. Birthday parties and holiday get togethers were always enjoyable. Her sense of humor was a treat she never failed to share. While our hearts are deeply saddened by her passing, we're thankful for the privilege of having known her these past thirteen years. Rachel, Victoria and the rest of the family will continue to be in our prayers. Words fail at a time like this, but may the Holy Spirit bring them comfort in their sorrow. We love you, Miss Blanch.
