Bobby ""Bob"" Joe James

Bob quotBobby Joequot James, 75 of Port Neches, TX passed away March 23, 2011. He was born January 26, 1936 in Gibslin, Louisiana to Willy and Carrie James. He began his schooling in that area and moved to Many when he was about 9 or 10 years old where he graduated from Many High School in 1954. He spent some time as a student at Northwestern University. He served in the Army National Guard for a number of years. His work career started in Alamagordo, New Mexico. He moved on to Port Arthur, TX and made his home in this area for many years. Bob was a longtime employee of Southern Union Gas Company. After his retirement, he divided his time between the Port Arthur area and Many. Bob is survived by his wife of almost 35 years, Barbara Jean. He is also survived by his children, daughter Joy Lynn Frantz and husband Robert, and Greg James and wife Jan and 3 grandchildren, Tara, Tori, and Michael 2 brothers, Bill James and wife Emily, and Larry James and wife Sandra nephews and a niece and his 4legged companion and shadow, Trixie.A memorial service was held on Sunday, March 27, 2011 in Many, Louisiana.
