Bobby Boyd O’Neal, 65 of Groves, passed away on Thursday, June 22, 2017 at The Medical Center of SETX in Port Arthur. Bobby was born on July 24, 1951 in Hanna, WY to the late Boyd O’Neal and Ruby Johnson O’Neal.

Bobby is survived by his sisters, Leslie O’Neal of Bridge City and Sandra Cate of Houston; niece, Krystal Hammer of Orange; nephew, Samuel Andrews of Bridge City; 2 great nephews and 1 great niece. He is preceded in death by his parents.

There will be a gathering of family and friends on Saturday, June 24th from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Melancon’s Funeral Home in Nederland. The memorial service will start at 3:00 p.m. also at the funeral home.

Bobby was 1 year older than me and his mom Ruby called him big Bobby and called me Baby Bobby since we were cousins and we would know which Bobby our parents were calling for. My Cuz was a great sportsman, he loved his hunting and his fishing. And he loved his cars too. He will be missed by his family and friends
