Bobby Ray Parker, born October 31, 1933, in Newellton, Louisiana to Ernest and Ella May Parker, passed away peacefully on July 26, 2026, in Groves, Texas. He was 92 years old.
He proudly served his country in the United States Army for three years, including service in Korea and Guam, a commitment that reflected his courage and dedication.
After returning home, he built a long and successful career at Dupont, where he worked faithfully for 40 years before retiring.
A devoted follower of Christ, he was a longtime member of Friendship Baptist Church, now Grace Baptist Church. He faithfully served on the church's finance committee and considered it a privilege to serve his church and the Lord.
Above all, he was a devoted husband and a loving father whose family was the center of his life. He led with quiet strength, integrity and unwavering faith, leaving an example that will continue to inspire those who knew and loved him.
When he wasn't working or serving at church, he found his greatest enjoyment outdoors. He loved hunting and fishing, and some of his happiest days were spent working around his lake house. It was a place where he made lasting memories with family and friends and found peace and contentment.
He is survived by his son, Joel Parker and his wife, Tammy of Groves, Texas; and his daughters, Lisa Morgan and her husband, Bobby of Groves, Texas and Christie Schaper and her husband, David of Port Neches, Texas. Bobby was a proud grandfather to Jace Parker; Lauren Sanders and her husband, Jason; Tyler Morgan and his wife, Jackie; Jenna Morgan; Alicia Pyne; Adam Schaper and his wife, Hayley; and Austin Schaper and his wife, Kennedy. His legacy further extended to his great-grandchildren: Callen, Parker, Kyla, Brayden, Kennedy, Hadley, Charlotte, Raylee, Blair, Saylor, Camryn and Castin. He is also survived by his sister, Betty Sue May of St. Joseph, Louisiana.
Bobby was preceded in death by his devoted wife of 66 years, Beverly Ann Parker; parents, Ernest and Ella Mae Parker; brothers, Jim Parker and Billy Parker and sister, Peggy Bolton.
Though he will be deeply missed, his family finds comfort in knowing that he is now in the presence of his Savior and hearing the words, "Well done, good and faithful servant." (Matthew 25:23)

The family will be honoring the memory of Bobby at a visitation on August 1, 2026, 11:00 am to 12:00 pm with a funeral service at 12:00 pm at Melancon Levingston Funeral Home, 5601 39th Street, Groves, Texas. A graveside service will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches, Texas.
