Bobbye Jo Gotcher, 89, of Port Neches, Texas passed away Sunday, December 29, 2019 at The Medical Center of Southeast Texas. Bobbye was born December 16, 1930 in Leaday, Texas to Joseph Caldwell Merrill and Lovey Lorena Witt Merrill. She was a 65 year resident of this area and a retired Secretary with Gibsons Discount Center Port Arthur. Bobbye was a member of Beaumont Power Squadron. Visitation for family and friends will begin at 10:00 a.m. Friday, January 3, 2020 at Levingston Funeral Home in Port Neches followed by the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. with Dr. Jason Martin officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery. Bobbye was preceded in death by her brother, Frank Merrill. Surviving relatives include her husband, Jack Myrl Gotcher of Port Neches, Texas; daughters, Laquita Norrington and husband Don of Boone, North Carolina, Belinda Philpott and husband Randy of Bridge City, Texas; sons, Don Gotcher and wife Janetta of Katy, Texas, Joe Gotcher and wife Mary of Nederland, Texas; brother, John C. Merrill and wife Janice of Coleman, Texas; 15 grandchildren, Shannon Gotcher, Tammi Gotcher, Scott Gotcher, Jeffrey Gotcher, Sam Stidham, Brittiny Newton, Brandi McElroy, Ashley Smith, Jeremy Gotcher, Heather Barr, Jamye Lewis, Kayla Mann, Krista Meyer, Melanie Anderson, and Michelle Cowart; and 21 great-grandchildren.
