Bolton Alton Mercer

Bolton Alton Mercer, 79, of Port Neches, Texas passed away Tuesday, September 13, 2016. Bolton was born May 24, 1937 in Winnsboro, Louisiana to Bolton M. Mercer and Mertie Dove Mercer. He was a longtime area resident and retired from Huntsman as a lab technician after 30 years of service. He also proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1960-1964. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Betty Reid; two brothers, Alvin Mercer and Alfred Mercer. Survivors include his daughter, Tammy Hernandez and her husband Randy of Nederland; sister, Louise Wactor of Port Arthur; grandchildren, Dylan Austin, Evan Austin, and Morgan Austin; and one great-grandson, Nolan Austin. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 17, 2016 at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves. A Military Graveside service will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday evening from 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
