Boots Sonnenberg, 89, of Groves, passed away on Sunday, June 19, 2022, at her residence in Groves.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 22, at in CITY. Officiating will be Sister Sandra Myer of Abundant Life of Groves, and Reverend Gary Wheeler of First Pentecostal Church in Orange. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves.

Visitation will at 5:00, Tuesday June 21, 2022 at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves.

She was born in Port Arthur, on January, 20, 1933, she was the daughter of Warren Guidry and Mildred Hebert. She was married to Daniel Sonnenberg of Groves. She was a homemaker in the home she owned. She was a lifelong member of the Pentecostal Church of Port Arthur.

She was preceded in death by her husband Daniel Sonnenberg of Groves.

She is survived by her daughter, Cynthia Fontenot Kleypas and husband Jerry Dawson of St. Augustine, FL; her sons, Carroll Fontenot and wife Debbie of Bridge City; and Jimmy Sonnenberg and wife Carla of Little Cypress; grandchildren, Desiree Kleypas; Caleb Fontenot; Dee Fontenot; Bradley Thibodeaux; Megan Smith; Nathan Sonnenberg; Hannah Sonnenberg; Kevin Moody; Courtney Atherton; great-grandchildren; Christian Beavers; Maverick Smith; Hallie Smith; Kylie Smith; Wyatt Moody; Scottie Moody; Jase Wells; brother, Warren Guidry Jr. and wife Cecil of Grand Bay, Alabama; sisters, Linda May of Beaumont, Tx; Billie Ann Farrell of Beaumont, Tx; and Dickie Nell Garza of Port Acres, Tx.
