Boyd Bedair, 74, of Port Neches, Texas passed away August 1, 2021. He was born in Groves, Texas on January 27, 1947 to the late Leroy Bedair and Winnie Martin Bedair. Boyd proudly served his country in the U. S. Army. He was a loving husband, father, and Pawpaw. Boyd was extremely proud of his family and his background. He could fix or build pretty much anything. He was “insanely talented” and truly a math whiz. He was genuinely willing to help anyone in need. Boyd was a member of Landmark UPC and extremely devoted to his faith. As much as he is already missed, the family has so much peace because they know he is with the One he loved and lived for most of all.
Those left to cherish Boyd’s memory are his wife of 49 years, Linda Stegall Bedair; his children, Julie Riley and her husband, Lonny, and Jeff Bedair and Jana Davis Bedair; his grandchildren, Isabella Riley, Aden Bedair, and Avery Bedair; his sister, Barbara Page and her husband, Don; his brother, Randall Bedair and his wife, Melba; and numerous loving family members. He is preceded in death by his parents; and his sisters, Patsy Bennett and Cathy Barrett.
A gathering of family and friends will be held at Melancon’s Funeral Home in Nederland on Thursday, August 5, 2021 from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. with a funeral service to follow a 2:00 p.m., Rev. James Lee officiant. Interment will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches.
