Brenda Joyce Guidry

Brenda Joyce Guidry, a cherished member of her family and community, passed away on February 12, 2025, at the age of 78 in Winnie, Texas. Born on September 1, 1946, in Port Arthur, Texas, Brenda led a life characterized by her unwavering love for family and her vibrant spirit.

Brenda was known for her career as co-owner of a bar, where her skills as a bartender shone through. Her hospitality and kindness made every patrons’ visit special. Beyond her professional life, she was a dedicated mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister, deeply proud of her family. Her son, Chris Guidry and his wife, Jennifer of Port Neches, along with her daughter, Rebecca Roggenkamp and her husband, T-Ray of Winnie, survive her. Brenda also leaves behind the father of her children, Ronald Guidry of Illinois.

Her legacy continues through her grandchildren, Jordan Guidry and his wife, Madyson, Travis Guidry, Taylor Roggenkamp and his wife, Anistyn, and Tyler Roggenkamp, as well as her great grandson, Blaine Allen Guidry. Brenda is survived by her brothers, AJ Vincent and his wife, Diane of Sulphur, LA, and Randy Vincent and his wife, Cheryl of Nederland, along with her sister, Becky Terrell and her husband, Kenneth. She also leaves behind her sister-in-law, Margaret Vincent of Nederland, and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends who will miss her dearly.

Brenda will be remembered for her immense pride in her family and her cherished memories spent with her grandchildren and great grandson. She was a huge fan of the Astros, and her enthusiasm for the team brought joy to those around her. In her leisure time, Brenda found happiness in gardening and watching the hummingbirds, and she enjoyed tackling crossword puzzles and various other puzzles that stimulated her mind.

Sadly, Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, Veda and Alee Vincent, her brothers, Donald Vincent, Gerald Vincent, Dale Vincent, and Mike Vincent, and her grandson, Cody Allen Guidry.

As we reflect on her life, we honor Brenda Joyce Guidry as a remarkable woman whose warmth, love, and laughter will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew her.

A Memorial Service to honor Brenda Joyce Guidry will be held at a later date.
