Brenda Sue Jones, 80, of Kirbyville, Texas passed away Thursday, January 7, 2021. Brenda was born October 8, 1940 in Jasper, Texas to the late Sam and Ruth Plaia. She was a member of First Baptist Church Nederland and a member of Jaycees and Exhausted Roosters. Brenda retired from the medical field after many years of service. Brenda loved watching western shows; Gunsmoke being her all-time favorite. In her early years, Brenda enjoyed motocross with her son, Kevin. She was a loving mother and grandmother and will be missed by all.

Brenda was preceded in death by parents, Sam Plaia and Ruth Spell Plaia; son, Kevin Jones; daughter, Diane Volentine.

Those left behind to cherish her memory include, her daughter, Debi Perricone and her husband, Carl of Nederland, TX; son, Steve Calvert of Nederland, TX; grandchildren, Mindy Volentine, Dustin Volentine, Vincent Perricone and Carly Perricone; great grandchildren, Miley Papania and Mabrie Papania; and a brother, Robert Plaia.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, January 11, 2021, at Oak Bluff Memorial Park.
