Brent Joseph Ryder, 45, of Bridge City passed away at his home on Friday, May 19, 2017. He was born on September 3, 1971 in Port Arthur, Texas to Stafford Joseph Ryder, Jr. and Hedy Broussard Ryder. Brent was a lifelong resident of this area. He was employed as an Outside Sales Manager for Special Metals and in the industry for over 19 years. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, May 26, 2017 at First Baptist Church in Groves under the direction of Levingston Funeral Home in Groves. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park. A visitation for family and friends will be Thursday evening from 5:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Groves. Brent is survived by his loving wife of 15 years, Janet Renee' Ryder of Bridge City, daughter, Reesie Renee' Ryder of Bridge City, son, Dylan Kade Bailly of Bridge City, father, Stafford J. Ryder, Jr of Orange, mother, Hedy Ryder of Groves, and two brothers, Brett Ryder and wife Paula of Port Neches and Brock Michael Ryder and wife Angela of Orange. Hedy, Brett, and Brock: My heart is so heavy for the passing of our darling Brent. He was a precious student of mine that was close to my heart.
