Brittnie Lane Eldridge Adaway, 23, passed away on Monday, August 22, 2022 in Orange, Texas. Brittnie was born on November 6, 1998 in Port Arthur, Texas.
Brittnie was a lifelong resident of Nederland and a graduate of Port Neches-Groves High School. She enjoyed playing softball, hunting and spending time with her friends and family. Brittnie was full of life and she had a kind and loving soul. She truly desired to help anyone in need and saw the positive side of every situation. She always had a big smile on her face and she had the ability to brighten up any room that she entered. Brittnie never met a stranger and touched the hearts of so many. Behind Brittnie’s kind smile and loving heart, she was an extremely strong person who had overcome so many adversities in life. Brittnie was a loving wife and daughter whose positive outlook and loving spirit will carry on through all she knew and loved.
Those left to cherish Brittnie’s memory are her loving husband, Christien Adaway; her father, Mike Key; her mother, Betty Key; her mother and father-in-law, Christine and Jeff McNeely; her brother, Ronnie Eldridge and his wife, Britleigh; her brother, Troy Key; her sister, Heather Hornbuckle and her husband, Jeff; her brother, Austin Kimbrell; her sister, Morgan Kimbrell; her brother, Brad Kimbrell; her brother, Scotty Kimbrell; her brother, Shaun Kimbrell; her grandparents, Jack Eldridge, Marilyn Eldridge, and Grandma Joyce; her sister-in-law Kylie McNeely; numerous loving family members and friends; and her biological father, Jeremy “Bubba” Eldridge. She is preceded in death by her biological mother, Misty McAnally; her brother, Darren Piazza; her maternal grandparents, Ronnie and Gloria McAnally; and her paternal grandparents, Mr. Otto Campbell and Mrs. Myrtle Campbell.
A gathering of family and friends for a visitation will be held at Melancon’s Funeral Home in Nederland, Texas on Sunday, August 28, 2022 from 12:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. A funeral service will immediately follow the visitation on Sunday and will begin at 3:00 p.m.
