Brody Wayne Strother, 11, of Nederland passed away Friday, July 31, 2015 at Texas Children's Hospital in Houston. Brody was born in Beaumont, Texas on June 2, 2004 to Lonnie Strother and Stephanie Theis. He was a lifelong area resident and attended Highland Park Elementary and was excited about going to the 5th grade. He was very active in all sports. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 5, 2015 at 10:00 am at the Fellowship Baptist Church in Nederland with Pastor Mike Parise officiating assisted by Pastor Dean Crites under the direction of Levingston Funeral Home in Port Neches. Burial will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor, Texas. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, August 4, 2015 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Fellowship Baptist Church in Nederland. Brody is survived by his mother, Stephanie Crites and husband Deano of Nederland and his father, Lonnie Strother and wife Dee of Vidor; grandparents, Ross and Denise Theis of Ohio, Charlatte Whitehead of Vidor, Dean and Mary Crites of Fannett, Donald and Yvonne Strother of Vidor and Robert and Collette Bery of Vidor; brothers, Bret Theis, Braxton Starnes, Tyler Crites and Austin Crites; sisters, Ashley Crites, Haley Crites, Shaina Strother, Kelsey Strother and Alden Revia. Memorial contributions may be made at Mid County Teachers Credit Union in Brody Strother name. Account #46428.

Charlotte and family members, My prayers are asking God to give you peace and God's arms wrapping you in good memories to help you be able to endure. Words can't wipe away the grief that goes with losing a precious child. Don't be ashamed to cry but talk about good memories you made in his short life I've lost a niece but cant even imagine the pain of losing my children or grandchildren but as they grow up to live their own lives I remember the good times and smile, even write poems to them.
