Burton "Munchkin" Guidry Burton "Munchkin" Guidry, 52, of Groves, Texas died Thursday, December 31, 2009 at his residence. He was born on November 23, 1957 in Port Arthur, Tx. to Amos Wilford Guidry, Sr. and Mavis Soriez Guidry. Burt was a lifelong resident of this area and a member of First Baptist Church in Groves. He was retired as an operator for Huntsman. Burt enjoyed time outdoors whether it was on one of his motorcycle rides, canoe trips, or boat trip trips down the Mississippi River. His greatest past time in recent years was spending time with his granddaughter, Jasmine. Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m., Monday, January 4, 2010 at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves. Reverend Jeremy Bradshaw of Memorial Baptist Church will be officiating. A visitation for family and friends will be Monday evening from 4:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home. Burt is survived by his two daughters, Deedra Guidry of Groves, Tx., and Kimberly Guidry of Beaumont, Tx.; two sisters, Gale Walker and husband, Lowell, Sr. of Nederland, Tx. and Sandra Apperson and husband, Tom of Port Arthur, Tx., four brothers, Billy Guidry and wife, Susan of Nederland, Tx., Tommy Guidry and wife, Cindy of LaBelle, Tx., John Guidry and wife, Tammy of Bell City, La., and Rusty Guidry and wife, Teena of Bell City, La.; former wife, Kathy Guidry of Groves, Tx., granddaughter, Jasmine Burge and numerous nieces and nephews.
