C. W. (Charlie) Nectoux, 96, passed peacefully from this life on earth to his heavenly reward at 9 PM on June 18, 2010. He was born in Lake Charles, La. to Leona Gillard and Louis C. Nectoux on October 9, 1913. Charles Nectoux retired from Texaco refining in 1975 after 40 years of service in the pump house where he had many friends and fond memories. Mr. Nectoux served as president of the local 4-23 OCAW. He was a member of Port Arthur Masonic Lodge #1264 for 60 years and a member of St. Peter�s Catholic Church. Charles was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Loraine Carwile Nectoux, his sisters, Violet Greer, May Adams, Gertrude Brown, Grace Radusch, Pearl Land and brothers, Homer and George Nectoux. Also preceding him in death were nephews, Archie Land, Jr., George F. Nectoux, Jr., William (Bill) Nectoux and niece, Kathy Nectoux. He is survived by his youngest brother, Harry Nectoux and wife, Marcie of Groves, Tx., nieces, Leah Nectoux Elisar and her husband, Benny of Port Neches, Marty Sikes , Sue Hinds, Ann Vick, Martha Lubke, Diane Wadsworth, nephews, Benny Mayo, Larry Carwile, Jerry Dobbins, David Dobbins, Wayne Dobbins, as well as numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews. Also mourning his passing are dear friends, Ann Boneau, Minerva (Sis) Thornton, and Clara Credeur. Many thanks to Odyssey Hospice and Serenity House for their loving care. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 22, 2010 at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves with Sister Jeannette Touchet of Sisters of the Eucharistic Covenant in Lake Charles officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park. A visitation for family and friends will begin Tuesday morning at the funeral home from 9:00 a.m. until the service time.
