Calvin T. (Tommy) Corbin, 70, of Nederland passed away Monday, July 14, 2014 at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont. Tommy was born February 22, 1944 to the late Estus and Cathryn Corbin in Hobbs, New Mexico and lived 22 years in Nederland.
Funeral services will be Wednesday July 16, 2014 at 6:00 p.m. at Melancon’s Funeral Home in Nederland with Rev. Frank Hodges officiating. A gathering of the family and friends will be from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday prior to the service. Graveside services will be at 1:00 PM Thursday at the Resthaven Cemetery in Baton Rouge, Louisiana under the direction of Melancon’s Funeral Home.
Tommy was employed as a Rebar Estimator with Hartmann Building Specialist. He was the owner and operator of S & T’s Gun Maintenance and Repair, Tommy had a true love of the outdoors. He loved hunting and fishing, the beach, and was an avid water skier.
Tommy was survived by his wife Shirley Corbin of Nederland; two sons Jeffrey Corbin and his wife, Dana, and Charles (Chad) Corbin both of Denham Springs, Louisiana; 2 step-daughters, Rachel Lindsay and her husband Doug, and Sarah Taylor and Andy Rogers both of Nederland; four grandchildren, Landon Corbin, Samantha Lindsay, John Lindsay, and Kane Rodgers.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Southeast Texas Food Bank.
