Dear Carson Family, Our memories of Mr. Carson will always be special. He told my class (Lori's) science class in 1981 That one day computers will be running everything and to go home and tell our Family to invest there. I went home and told my Dad that Mr. Carson said this and I envisioned life with computers to be something like " The Jetson's". Makes me smile to this day. Danny Bledsoe (My Fiance) send our prayers to your Family. He was a fantastic Teacher and always wore a bright smile in Church. We will Miss him.

I had Mr. Carson in the sixth grade at PN Elementary ('65-'66) and I've thought of him often over the years. He was definitely a devoted teacher and one whom I'll never forget. I loved that year in school and learned so very much that year. It would have been wonderful to have been in his class(es) again in JH and HS, but it wasn't to be. He touched many, many lives and made a difference in the lives of so many of his students that his crown in Heaven is going to be ever so beautiful. We've lost a very good man and I'm so sorry for your loss.

I was in the last drivers ed class that Mr. Carson taught at PNG in 2003-2004. I was also put into a alt class he taught... he was the greatest teacher I ever had because he told me stories that I was interested, he dove into the realm of teaching that teaches you about life not just what you needed to know to pass a test. Over the years many times I've thought about conversations him and I've had and I've been able to take those conversations and use the lessons from them to help me when I needed guidance. So even if what he had told me as a child wasn't something I knew I needed then when I grew into a man they were lessons that were irreplaceable, like advice from your father... lessons for the future. He was a great man, one of the few that had taken the time to share stories and prophesy from his life, someone that was able to understand the importance of getting off track to recapture your attention to explain more than just what was in the book, to be able to make a kid whose day to day life made it hard to focus and give him something to look forward to in a lesson and that to me is a great teacher. Rest In Peace Mr. Carson , I'm glad I got to hear of few of your stories.

I have nothing but happy memories of being in Mr. Carson's science and driver's ed class back in the mid 80's. We had some amazing discussions and debates in class that went beyond the textbook. You learned more than just the subject matter in Mr. Carson's class and he is one of the best teachers I had at any grade level. I also remember his supernatural ability to read the spirit ribbons that used to be made during football season back then and make quite often accurate predictions. Once you were his student, you were his student for life. He never forgot anyone who was in his class. I extend my deepest condolences to his family and pray for you all as you go through the grieving of such a loss. Hopefully, you find some comfort in knowing how loved and respected Mr. Carson is and the impact he made on students that stays with us to this day.

Mr. Carson was my favorite teacher. He taught me physical science my freshman year and driving my sophomore year. He also taught my younger brother too. Because of him, I can tell when an engine is misfiring. My science class was close to the Auto Mechanics shop. He would typically tell us to be quiet so he could hear the Auto Shop class rev their engines when they were working on cars. He would tell us to listen and ask if we could hear it misfiring. I remember the wild stories he would tell about where he grew up. My brother and I loved his stories and still talk about him often. He lives in our memories forever.

Mr. Carson had a way of introducing many peculiar subjects on a level that is both engaging and inspiring. No, we did not finish a lot of the intended assignments on those days that he was a substitute, but we learned far more valuable material. Looking back on it now, Mr. Carson led a kind of counterculture revolution of his own, one that involves an 'against the grain' way of teaching, but works very effectively. He attained mythical status among both the middle school halls, and the high school halls, that he gracefully passed through. Every kid that had him in a class knew that there would be endless conversations and no pencil touching paper when he walked into your class, and thus a smile appeared on the faces of everyone. Godspeed Mr.Carson, Godspeed

I tried my best and I got up and have ever since. I will forever remember them. When I had him in Science class he told us that one day when you check your groceries or whatever you're buying they will take a barcode on that item and scan it over a screen and that is how they ring up your merchandise you're buying. That was in the 1970's we all thought when ever we get to that we will be living like the Jetsons cartoon characters. He was a very kind man so sorry for your loss
