Carl James LeCompte, Sr., 83, of Nederland passed away Friday, January 4, 2013 at his home surrounded by loved ones. Carl was born on July 8, 1929 in Bourg, Louisiana to Claude Jean LeCompte and Lelia Walker LeCompte. He proudly served in the United States Marine Corp. He was retired and loved to fish with his best friend of many years, Harold Dean. He was preceded in death by his parents, Claude and Lelia LeCompte, his wife, Betty Hebert LeCompte, his daughter, Mary Jo LeCompte, and his brother, Kermit LeCompte. Survivors include his daughters, Deborah Saltman and husband, Conrad of Groves, TX., Pamela Bonvillian and husband, James of Lake Charles, LA., son, Carl James LeCompte, Jr. and wife, Paula of St. Simons Island, GA., sisters, Helen Breaux of Houma, LA., Winona Kerr and husband, James of Houma, LA., thirteen grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. Cremation was under the direction of Levingston Funeral Home in Groves, TX.
