Carlos Alberto Nunez, Sr., 91, of Port Arthur, Texas passed away Thursday, June 12, 2014 at Christus St. Mary Hospital. Carlos was born November 20, 1922 in Nacaome, Honduras to Pedro Nunez and Teodora Gomez. He was a resident of Port Arthur for 49 years and member of St. James Catholic Church. He was a merchant marine and retired after 40 years of service. Survivors include his wife, Maria Nunez of Port Arthur, TX; daughter, Carolina Nunez of Port Arthur, TX; sons, Carlos Nunez, Jr. and wife, Danita of Panama City Beach, FL and Miguel Nunez of Port Arthur, TX; sister, Graciela Larios of Honduras; two grandchildren, Olivia Nunez and Raya Nunez. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 18, 2014 at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves. Burial will be at Greenlawn Memorial Park. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday evening from 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
