Carolina was born on February 17, 1930, in Lake Charles, Louisiana to Nick Gulotta and Rosa Mary Gerami Gulotta. She attended and graduated from Lake Charles High School. Carolina went on to have a very long, successful career at Texaco Refinery where she retired after her many years of service in the early 80’s. Following her retirement, Carolina spent the next 24 years working as a highly dedicated on-site manager for Tropicana Apartments. Carolina harbored a true unwavering love for animals, and she received great joy from helping animals in need. She graciously made many generous donations to the Humane Society and various animal charities over the years as a way of giving back to the neglected and homeless animals in her community. Throughout Carolina’s life she shared her heart with three very special animals that she considered to be her babies. Her cats, Morris, Natalie and Jax, were the center of her world and her pride and joy. Aside from spending time with her current fur baby, Jax, she enjoyed building and decorating dollhouses. She was truly crafty and talented. Carolina was also an avid fan of professional football and Nascar racing.
She is preceded in death by her mother Rosa Mary Gerami Gulotta and her father Nick Gulotta; daughter Anna; twin sons Ken and Kenneth; brother Benny Gulotta; sisters Genevie Gulotta Bourgeois and Antionette Spinella, and her cats Morris and Natalie Roddam.
She is survived by cousins John Gerami, Darlene Boeing, Earlene Phiester and Rose Mary Auria; several nieces and nephews; special family friends Mike and Fay Ginn.
