Carolyn Bowser, 88, of Groves, Texas passed away on Saturday, February 19, 2022, at her home in Groves, Texas.

Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, February 21, 2022 at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves. Officiating will be Reverend Marty Boddie.

Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves.

Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on March 26, 1933, she was the daughter of Clarence Hillary Simpson and Myrtle Dennis Simpson.

Carolyn was a lifelong resident of this area and a member of First United Methodist Church in Groves since 1968.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Jack Bowser.

She is survived by her daughter, Dayne Hill and husband John of Orange, Texas; son, Kyle S. Bowser and wife Becky of Houston, Texas; 4 grandchildren, Betsy Castille and husband Collin, Sally Pacetti and husband Adam, Tony Bowser and wife Jenna, and Jack Hill and wife Lindsey; and 8 great-grandchildren.

I remember Carolyn mostly smiling and laughing. She was so pleasant to visit with and always enjoyed funny anecdotes about family, friends, and especially the little ones. When I first met her, it was as though we had been friends for years. She was a positive role model for her family and friends and will be missed.
