Carson Dale Manuel, 78, of Port Neches, Texas, passed away on January 15 , 2025. Born on November 25, 1946, in Mamou, Louisiana, Carson exemplified a life dedicated to service, hard work, and family. 

He proudly served in the United States Air Force before embarking on a fulfilling career as a machinist. Carson retired after an impressive 30 years of dedicated service with Texaco/Huntsman, where he was known for his meticulous nature and strong work ethic.

Carson's warmth and humor endeared him to those who knew him. He was mild-mannered yet possessed a funny spirit that could light up a room. His commitment to his community was evident as a member of the First Methodist Church in Port Neches, where he found companionship and support among fellow congregants.

A passionate traveler, Carson loved to explore new places and enjoyed spending quality time fishing, boating, and camping. These hobbies brought him joy and formed cherished memories with family and friends.

He is survived by his daughter, Amy Manuel of Port Neches, along with his brothers, Carol W. Manuel and his wife, Judy, and Danny M. Manuel. Carson is predeceased by his parents, Adles and Manny Carson, his sister, Fern Miller, his brother, Jimmy Manuel, and his nephew, Darryl Manuel.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Thursday, January 23, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM, both held at Melancon Levingston Funeral Home located at 2001 Nall St, Port Neches, TX 77651. Interment will be held at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches. Carson Dale Manuel's legacy of kindness, dedication, and love will be remembered fondly by all who had the privilege to know him.

Amy, I am so sorry for your loss. Uncle Dale was a giving person and was always kind to me. I have lots of fond memories when I was young and would spend a week with him, you and your mom. You did a great job taking care of him. I know how hard it is. Love you always 🫂🥰💖

I'll never forget the time Dale took me fishing on Taylor's bayou. I buried a Hellbender fishing lure in his earlobe. All three treble hooks. To make it worse his outboard motor wouldn't start. We had to be towed in. I couldn't laugh, but it looked like he had an earring in. He never said nothing about it after the initial scream. He was a good person and brother in law.
