Cecil Bentley "Benny" Epperson

Cecil “Benny” Epperson, 75, of Groves, Texas., passed away on Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at the Medical Center of Southeast Texas in Port Arthur. Cecil was born in Port Arthur, Texas on April 25, 1942 to the late, Bentley Brown Epperson and Violet Alvarara Mode Epperson.
Cecil is a 1960 graduate of Nederland High School, he served his country in the United States Army and retired from the Huntsman Corporation with 37 years of service. Cecil loved the game of golf and he never missed an opportunity to be on the course playing a round of the game he loved.
Those left to cherish Cecil’s memory are his loving wife, Janis Epperson of Groves; his son, Benny Alan Epperson of Bridge City and his step-son Ron Borque of Groves.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Thursday, February 22, 2018 from 5:00p.m. – 6:00p.m. with a memorial service to begin at 6:00p.m. at Melancon’s Funeral Home in Nederland, Texas.
