Charlene Mae Fletcher, 79, of Port Neches, Texas passed away on Sunday, February 22, 2015 at Gulf Healthcare. She was born on July 23, 1935 in LaPorte, Indiana to Norman Lower and Mabel Brewer. She worked from her home the majority of her life.
Charlene is survived by her mother, Mabel G. Dee of Tampa, Florida; sons, Kenneth Tarnow and wife, Yvonne of Beaumont and Jon Tarnow and wife, Vicki of Lumberton; daughters, Carol Fletcher and Lydia Andrews and husband, Michael of Nederland; sister, Judy Harmyk of Riverview, Florida; half brothers, Roger Lower and Michael Lower both of Indiana; half sister, Norma Pennington of Indiana; grandchildren, Janet McGrath, Robert Tarnow, Courtney McClusky, Cody Andrews, Vincent Fletcher, Brianna Andrews, Paige Kelly, Darrell Alston; great-grandchildren, Sharron Rice, Karron Rice, Makayla Rice, Kenedy McClusky, Will McGrath, and Devin Kelly. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends. She will be dearly missed by all. She is preceded in death by her father, Norman; husband, Ray Fletcher; brother, John Lower; and grandchildren, Michael Andrews, Jr. and Luke McGrath.
Funeral Services will be held at Melancon’s Funeral Home in Nederland on Thursday, February 26, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Michael Branson officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Wednesday, February 25, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
