Charley was a true friend and mentor for me and so many others... like a big brother in many ways. He helped a lot of people along the way and left a tremendous legacy for the rest of us to carry on. Rest in peace my brother, and may the Lord comfort all those who are grieving his passing. I know you're in heaven now Charley, with so many of our dear friends that the Lord has called home. Save me a seat brother. I plan to join you one day! Gus Henry

Charley and Shirley touched the lives of many through their years. Charley was an active Board Member of The HOW Center in Beaumont, and helped many individuals turn their lives around from alcohol and drug addiction. Charley was an integral part in working with the State of Texas to integrate programs into the Stiles, Leblanc, and Gist State Institutions and also county jails from Jefferson and Tyler Counties for over 31 years. Charley selflessly went out of his way to those in need and my family is what it is today directly from Charley becoming part of our lives 30 years ago. Charley, you will be truly missed by thousands of individuals through the lives you directly or indirectly touched. Daniel & Paula Jeans Family
