We ran the roads together in old Pear Ridge growing up. He was a unique man with talent and heart the size of Texas. May he rest in the arms of Jesus.

I have known Charles most of my life. I was best friends with his son Brett. Charles was one of the coolest people I've ever known. I learned at a young age that you could put things on his tab at Port Athur CC. Little did I know that Brett was setting us up for a butt chewing every month when the bill had to be paid LOL. He taught us about golf and he was damn good at it. He also taught Brett and I that you don't have to be blood to be family. He loved my best friend Brett as his own. I could go on and on, but I'm sure he is teeing off on the most beautiful course ever right now. You will be missed Chuck, rest well my friend.

I have known Charles since YMCA Little League days. he was a good dude and a good athlete. I always enjoyed visiting with Charles at the TJ65 class reunions. It was sad to hear of his passing.

To the family, I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Charles. He was not only a friend of mine but also a friend of my Dad, John Williams. Dad and I would get a big smile on our face any time we saw Charles. Charles always had a good word, handshake and a story to tell. He will be greatly missed not only in the golfing world but by anyone who came in contact with him. Please accept my prayers and deepest sympathy during your time of loss and sorrow.
