Charles Matthaus Davenport, 62, of Nederland, passed away on September 25, 2013 at his residence. He was born in Nederland to Marvin Davenport and Catherine Giebelstein Davenport. He was a lifelong resident of the area and retired as a diesel machinist.

Funeral services will be held at Melancon’s Funeral Home, 1605 Avenue H in Nederland on Saturday, September 28, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Rick White officiating. Interment will follow at Magnolia Cemetery in Beaumont.

Charles is survived by his mother, Catherine Davenport of Hewitt, TX; daughter, Lacey Davenport of Houston; brothers, Marvin A. Davenport of Diana, TX and Alan D. Davenport of Beaumont; and sister Cathy Brevell of Hewitt, TX.
