Charles "Chuck" Dowd, Jr., 76, of Port Neches, Texas passed away Sunday, February 12, 2017 at his residence surrounded by his family. Chuck was born August 23, 1940 in Beaumont, Texas to Charles Francis Dowd, Sr. and Billie Neel Dowd. He was a lifelong resident of this area and retired with forty plus years as a Meat Cutter. He was a member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church and proudly served in the US Air Force and the US Marine Corps. A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 25, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Levingston Funeral Home in Port Neches with Reverend Shane Baxter officiating. Chuck was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Jeanette Dowd, son John Dowd, daughter, Cindy Dowd Holland, and brother, Jimmie E. Dowd. Surviving relatives include his brothers, Terry Dowd and his wife Jacque of New Braunfels, Texas; Pat Dowd and his wife, Connie of Port Neches, Texas; three grandchildren, Chris Holland, Amanda Abraham, and Ashley Deiters, and five great-grandchildren.
