Charles Donn Frederick, 71, of Groves, Texas passed away Tuesday, October 11, 2016. Charles was born March 9, 1945 in Port Arthur, Texas to Angelus and Elsie Gray Frederick. He was a lifelong area resident and member of the Baptist faith. He proudly served in the U.S. Air Force. He was preceded in death by his father, Angelus Frederick; and his brother, Roy Glenn Frederick. Survivors include his mother, Elsie Frederick of Groves; four sisters, Janet Stein of Groves, TX, Karla Abshire and her husband Rodney of Raceland, LA, Andrea Lide and her husband Al of Canton, TX, and Gilda Mallet and her husband Donald of Jennings, and LA; numerous nieces and nephews. A visitation for family and friends will begin at 12 noon, Saturday, October 15, 2016 at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves, followed by the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be at Greenlawn Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Aaron Frederick, Troy Stein, Thad Stein, Allen Abshire, Rodney James Abshire, Shawn Lide, Wes Lide, and Michael Mallet.
