Charles will be greatly missed. He always had a kind word for his friends but he absolutely glowed when he talked about his children. He loved science and learning and getting that information across to the young minds that he taught. His wit was sharp and some of my favorite jokes came from Charles... I will miss you Chuckie! Your positive attitude about everything will stay with us!

This is Miss Dianne, Charles' Third Grade teacher at St. Elizabeth. This is the second one of my former students, that I know of that has passed on; Danette Simon, also a cousin of mine, was the first. I hope there have not been more. I am so glad Charles was a teacher. He was such an adorable, funny, & loving child and delightful student. I know you all will miss him. It grieves me to know he is gone. My deepest condolences to all. Keep your memories close to your hearts. Lovingly, Miss Dianne. 811 Cloyd Dr Apt 406 Magnolia, TX 77355

I cannot express my utter grief at old McBride's passing. I'm a teacher at GMS where he frequently subbed. We ate lunch together nearly everyday. We were very tight - sharing the same sarcastic sense of humor. He was one of the smartest men I've ever known and am honored to have been his friend. He spoke of his kids often - he was so proud. May comfort be with you all ... and with him now.

My heartfelt sympathy to all the McBrides over the loss of Charlie. He was a fine and fun-loving fella. When we were students at St. Elizabeth's, I still remember how he altered the Winston cigarette jingle to make it his own. Yes, Charlie's version was funny, you can believe that. Shine bright, Charlie, shine bright. R.I.P.
