Charles Moak

1965 ∼ 2025

Charles Moak, 60, of Groves, Texas, passed away unexpectedly in a car accident on September 5th, 2025, in Nome, Texas.

He was born on March 19, 1965, at Mid- Jefferson hospital in Nederland, Texas, to Mary Maxine Jennings Moak and Billy Joe Moak Sr. Charles grew up in Groves and graduated from Port Neches-Groves High School.

Charles dedicated over 30 years of his life working for Echo Maintenance, where he was known for his hard work, loyalty, and sense of humor. Outside of work, he found joy in music, especially playing the harmonica, and loved sharing that talent with those around him.

He will be remembered as a loving father, proud grandfather, and loyal brother. His greatest joy was his family, and his presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Charles is survived by his daughter, Charleen Moak; grandson, Jameson Charles Bellot; sister, Mary Grossman and her husband, Matthew Hagepanos; brother, Oliver Moak and his wife, Mayra; niece, Melissa Grossman; great-niece, Cricket Rose Grossman; nephew, Michael Grossman and his wife, Bridget; and twin great-nephews, Jacob and Elijah Grossman, as well as numerous other nieces and nephews. He is also remembered with love by Paula Bills and Phyllis DeCuir, with whom he shared meaningful years of his life. And not to be forgotten, his best companion, Archie, his Shih-Tzu.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Billy Joe Moak Sr. and Mary Maxine Jennings Moak, and his brother, Billy Joe Moak Jr.

In recognition of his life and legacy, family and friends are invited to gather for visitation on September 13, 2025, at 12:30 PM, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM at Melancon Levingston Funeral Home, 2001 Nall Street, Port Neches, Texas, 77651. A graveside service will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches, Texas.
