Charlie Myers, 78, of Nederland, Texas passed away on Thursday, March 31, 2022, at the Medical Center of Southeast Texas in Port Arthur, Texas. Charlie was born in Beaumont, Texas to the late, Vernon Myers and Ruth Ann Miller Myers on Tuesday, March 7, 1944.
Charlie served his country proudly in the United States Air Force and was a retired Police Officer with 26 years of service with the Nederland Police Department. Charlie enjoyed spending time with his family and loved each of them dearly. He was also an avid fan of the Houston Astros.
Those left to cherish Charlie’s memory include his loving wife of 47 years, Susan Myers of Nederland, Texas; his children, Tammy Trahan and her husband, Brandon of Little Cypress, Texas, Keith Myers of Nederland, Texas and Kristy Cochran and her husband, Derek of Brookeland, Texas; his brother, Joseph Richard; his two sisters, Martha Cole and Gayle Frost; seven grandchildren, Corbin Carr, Justin Carr, Jaycee Trahan, Christlynn Sheffield, Hunter Cochran, Olivia Cochran and Parker Cochran; and two great-grandchildren, Gunnar Carr and Orianna Sheffield.
Charlie is preceded in death by his parents, Vernon Myers and Ruth Ann Miller Myers; and his step-father, Ivia Richard.
A private, family graveside service was held on Wednesday, March 6, 2022 at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches, Texas under the direction of Melancon’s Funeral Home in Nederland, Texas.
