Charles Edward Pearson, 85, of Nederland passed away Thursday, April 15, 2021. Charles was born November 22, 1935 in Austin, Texas to the late Cecil and Ebba Pearson. He served in the Army Reserves and was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church in Nederland. Charles retired from the banking industry after 40 years of service. He loved gardening and working with cattle on his ranch near the Austin area. Charles enjoyed spending time with his grandkids by inventing games and stories for them.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 62 years, Shirley Pearson of Nederland; daughter, Theresa Driver and her husband, Terry of Huffman, TX; son, Kenneth Pearson of Mauriceville, TX; grandchildren, Travis Driver, Tyler Driver and Tessa Driver; and brother, Billy Pearson and his wife, Audrey.

A private memorial service will be held at his ranch at a later date.

As Charles was known for being such a giving man the family request that Memorial Contributions to be made in Charles E. Pearson’s name to Hillcrest Baptist Church, 3324 Park Dr., Nederland, TX 77627.
