Coach Charles Petkovsek and Herbert Troy were the coachs that took the time to play handball with me while I was recuperating from an auto accident as a passenger that occured in front of Mildreds Flower Shop on Port Neches Avenue. I can remember those enjoyable moments because both those men were hard to compete with. Both Coach Petkovsek and Troy left great lasting memories with me and that is how I want to remember them until another meeting time.

I'm sorry to hear about Coach Petkovsek's passing. I didn't know him well, but Mrs. Petkovsek was my P.E teacher, and I attended school with David. I remember David speaking so fondly of his dad. Prayers at this time of loss.

Charlie and I were classmates in High School along with his brother, Victor. Our work took us in different directions and I lost track of Charlie for long periods of time buy he was always one of the truly "Good Guys". I understand he had some really tough times these last fifteen years or so. My condolences go out to his family. He will be missed.

I have great memories of both Mr. & Mrs. Petkovsek teaching PE at PNGISD when I was a child. I always thought it was cool that they were married and taught together. What a blessing they were to me and many other kids growing up in Port Neches.
