Charles Thomas Poss

Charles Poss, 65, of Bridge City, Texas, passed away Thursday, December 7, 2023, at his residence in Bridge City.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 12, 2023, at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 13, 2023, at 10:30 a.m. at Peace Lutheran Church in Groves. Officiating will be Reverend Timothy Dinger. Burial will be held at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches.  

Charles was born on September 18, 1958, in Port Arthur, Texas. He was the son of Luther Comer Poss and Eunice Marie Poss. He retired from the social security administration office as an area system coordinator. He was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Groves.

He is preceded in death by his siblings, Kenneth Poss, Judy Poss, and Sue Poss

He is survived by his wife Laura “Beth” Poss of Bridge City, TX; two sons, Timothy Armitage of Bridge City, TX; and David Armitage and wife Kim of Beaumont, TX; four grandchildren: Ryder Armitage, Reid Armitage, George Armitage, and Hank Armitage; sister Billie Jean Culver; and his brothers Rick Poss and wife Keyla; Bobby Poss and wife Tomi; and Michael Poss and wife Tina.
