Charles Lee Riley, 76, of Groves, Texas passed away Sunday, March 31, 2019 at Magnolia Manor in Groves, Texas Charles was born February 28, 1943 in Ocala, Florida to William Lee Riley and Ada C. Pruitt Riley. He was a resident of this area for 60 plus years and a member of the Baptist faith. Charles was a retired Teacher/Educator with 42 years of service, 30 years of that service with the PN-G ISD. He taught at Woodlawn Jr. High, was a Special Education Counselor, and the Principal for 17 years at Port Neches Elementary as well as many other districts. He liked to travel, videography, fishing, camping, snow skiing, raising Boston Terriers, and teaching. He loved his children. Visitation for family and friends will be held Friday, April 5, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Levingston Funeral Home in Port Neches. Surviving relatives include his daughter, Michelle Hernandez and husband Derrek of Nederland, Texas; sons, Sean Riley and wife Bethany of Port Neches, Texas, Daniel Riley of Groves, Texas; sister, Connie Logan and husband Dan of Porter, Texas; brother, Allen Riley and wife Kim of Kingwood, Texas; grandchildren, Annah Riley, Oliver Riley, Asher Riley, Gabriel Hernandez, and Lylah Hernandez. I am so sorry to hear about Mr. Riley's passing. He was also my 7th grade Physical Science teacher at Woodlawn JHS!!! I really liked his class...I think everybody did! He was a young teacher back then - fresh out of college. My thoughts and prayers are with all of his family...

Great guy he was my teacher at Woodlawn jr. And my kids princpal at pn elementary .i have great memoirs of being in his class.

So sorry to learn of the passing of Mr Riley. He was a wonderful supporter of the PTA and all we did to help and support the students and teachers of PNE. I had Mr. Riley as a teacher at Woodlawn about 50 years ago. He was such a dynamic teacher with a great personality. He really made science interesting, and I got a degree in Engineering in large measure because of his influence on me. Condolences to the family.

So sorry for your loss. Mr. Riley was my favorite teacher at Woodlawn Jr. High School in the early 70s. He made class time fun and learning science interesting. Sincere condolences to the family.

So sorry to hear of the loss of Mr. Riley. He was my Science teacher many years ago when I was a 7th grader. He made Science a lot of fun. He definitely touched a lot of lives in such a positive way. My thoughts and prayers will be with all of his family. May he Rest in Peace

I'm so sorry to hear of Charles' passing. He was best man at our wedding. I have great memories of camping with his family and the Monks up at Rayburn every summer.
