Message to the Scott family: Our hearts share your grief in moaning your tremendous loss. I met Charlie in 1977 as a young Instrument Apprentice at Gulf Oil, at the time, little did I know what an impact he would have on my life in becoming the man I later became. Charlie possessed a gift how to invest his worldly and technical knowledge with everyone he interacted with which enhanced and brighten everyone's life. I own a great debt too Charlie for the guidance and direction he gave me personally, not only as an apprentice, but more importantly the life lessons he provided to me. I thank him for the conversations we would have behind close doors which included funny stories, work related issues, and at times, cussing me for giving up on my dreams. If I had not had Charlie in my life to mentor me with the knowledge he possessed, both professionally and personally, God only knows, what direction I would taken in life. I once told Charlie, if God would had allowed me to pick my earthly Father, I would have picked my Dad first, but he would have been a close second. If I live the life Charlie taught me, I hope to see him in Heaven one day. I love you Charlie and will truly miss you !

"Lil' Sis & R'uh (Judy & R.T. Johnson) August 2, 2024
The first time I saw my brother Charles was January 9, 1946; and after 78 years I finally realized what big brothers are for. Was he ever annoying - sometimes, but so was my cat & I loved him unconditionally. Did I annoy him - absolutely, but with three brothers that was my job. Charles sometimes called us "R'uh & Lil Sis". Sure will miss that & his phone calls "Just Checking Up on Orange County" he would always say. He always acknowledged our birthdays & anniversary. He kept us in the loop with everything family - from new babies to new pets. What brother does all that - my brother. So whether it was our Vegas vacations together or spending holidays at Charles & Johnnie's, we have great memories. We miss you already Big Brother. And that's all I have to say about that. Except one more thing. A big shout out to "CHARLIES ANGELS" - aka his kids. They once again proved that when the going gets tough, the tough get going. Thanks to all of you for making your Dad / my brother fee loved and appreciated.

Charlie was my boss in the instrument department and was the nicest man. Always encouraging and helpful. I really liked him as both a man and a boss.
