Charles R. Silva, 58, of Groves, Texas passed away Tuesday, March 16, 2021, at The Medical Center of Southeast Texas. Charles was born February 25, 1963 in Galveston, Texas to the late Rudy and Zora Silva. He was a member of Abundant Life Sanctuary in Groves and dedicated his life to serving his Lord and Savior. He retired from Local #195 as an iron worker and St. Elizabeth Hospital as a registered nurse. Charles’ hobby was collecting pens through the years.

Charles is preceded in death by his parents, Rudy Silva and Zora Inez Busby Silva; and brother, Thomas Wayne Silva.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 37 years, Tricia Ann Silva of Groves, TX; son, Jared Silva of Groves, TX; grandchildren, Serenity Marie Rivera and Lee James Martin; and numerous nieces, nephews, friends and extended family.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Abundant Life Sanctuary in Groves on Tuesday, March 30, 2021 at 7:00 p.m.

Charlie was like a father to me. He was a friend and my Boy Scout Leader. I have some great memories from those days. Thanks to him life has come full circle. Sammy Gore and I are now Scout Master and Asst. Scout Master for troop 51 in Port Neches. He also taught me how to drive his old blue Ford step side with 3 on the tree. People in thier 40's and up know what i'm talking about. I love you Charllie and you will be missed by all how had the pleasure to meet you.

I will always remember the Boy Scout camping trip that Charlie invited me to go on with Jason. It was a blast. I will never forget working on Charlie's computer, either. Charlie was a great man, and a good friend.
