Charles E. Trainer, III, 65, of Port Arthur, Texas passed away Tuesday, August 23, 2011. Charles was born December 10, 1945 in Maywood, California to Charles E. Trainer, Jr. and Jennie Gahagan Trainer. He was as resident of Port Arthur for 61 years and retired as a Supervisor in the Power Department of Motiva after 32 years of service. He was also a Vietnam U.S. Navy veteran. Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Linda Bryan Trainer of Port Arthur, TX; two daughters, Kasey Trainer of Nederland, TX, Rebecca Ward and husband, Daniel of Lumberton, TX; son, Jeremy Trainer of Georgetown, TX; two sisters, Janice Butler and husband, Bob of California, and Cheryl Dotson of Idaho; two grandsons, Carter Ward and Jackson Ward. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 27, 2011 at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves, Texas with Reverend Steven Hays officiating. Military Graveside Honors will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Nederland. A visitation for family and friends will begin Saturday morning at 9:00 a.m. at the funeral home. The family request casual dress for the visitation and services.
