I met Charlie in 1980 when I first started rodeoin'. He was such a great guy. It was an honor to know him as a cowboy and a friend. Anybody that rodeoed in South East Texas knew Charlie Toups. My deepest condolences go out to his family. Sincerely, Piet

I'm so sorry we have lost such a great man and cowboy, he has etched the way of many Ropers throughout the country and not a finer man; I know he is riding wth the lord now and and tending to greater pastures, there will be a time where we all can join him again in the sky "For since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will also bring with Him through Jesus those who have fallen asleep [in death]." - ‭‭1 Thessalonians‬ ‭4:14‬‬
