Cherry Lane Richardson, 89, of Spring, Texas passed away Thursday, February 13, 2020 at Kevins Senior Living. Cherry was born December 27, 1930 in Smithville, Louisiana to Dee Mack Perkins, Sr. and Lessie Ryland Perkins. She was a resident of Port Arthur for 39 years before moving to the Houston area. Cherry was a retired biology teacher from Cleveland High School in Cleveland, Texas and formerly a registered nurse in service Director at Park Place Hospital. She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Beatrice Dennis, Leatrice Mabry, and Barbara Foote; and brother, Frederick Perkins, Sr.; sister-in-law, Shirley Perkins; and brothers-in-law, William Mabry, Burt Dennis, John Foote, and Al Slayter. Survivors include her husband, L. A. Richardson of Spring; daughters, Karen Richardson Cauthen and husband Terry of Port Arthur, and Kathy Bostwick Wiesen and husband Mark of The Woodlands; son, Larry Alan Richardson and wife Grace of Spring; sister, Velma Slayter of Florida; brothers, Dee Mack Perkins, Jr. and wife Elaine of South Lake, Dale D. Perkins, Sr. of Longview, Alvin B. Perkins, Sr. and wife Nyla of Pineville, LA; sisters-in-law, Sue Perkins of Pineville, LA, and Jewel Richardson of Livingston; twelve grandchildren, Melissa R. Bates and husband Steven, Christy Cauthen, Courtney Chancelor, Valerie Vasquez and husband Chris, Andrea Vasquez and husband Robert, Shawn Cauthen and wife Hillary, Gregory Bostwick, Blake Bostwick and wife Morgan, Steven Richardson and wife Laura, Alan Richardson, Joshua Richardson and Jessica Richardson and twenty-one great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great nephews, and caregiver Kevin Hickman and staff of Kevins Senior Living of Conroe, Texas. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m., Friday, February 21, 2020 at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves, Texas. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park. A visitation for family and friends will be Thursday, February 20, 2020 from 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to the Salvation Army, Samaritan's Purse International Relief or a church of your choice.

Karen, LA and Family -- Darlene and I are very sorry to hear of Cherry's passing. We got to know Cherry very well through Karen and Terry. Words, no matter how kind, can't mend your heartache. However, Darlene and I care for you, and wish you comfort and peace of mind.
