Cheryl Hall Wallace, 79, of Sour Lake, Texas passed away on Tuesday, April 16, 2024, at Mill Creek Nursing Home in Silsbee with her loving family by her side.
Cheryl was born on June 2 1944, in Port Neches, Texas to Dessie Roseaner Hales Hall and Jessie James Hall. She graduated from Port Neches High School in 1962 and was a member of the Procter Baptist Church in Port Arthur. Cheryl was an insurance clerk and medical coder for many places with Walmart being the last company she worked for. She enjoyed taking care of her plants and flowers; traveling and was a big sports fanatic especially being proficient in sports trivia and knowledge of many of her favorite sports. Cheryl was a big basketball fan and Steph Curry was her favorite player. Her family says “you better not say anything bad about Steph’ because she would set you straight. She also liked football and her favorite football player was Patrick Mahomes. Cheryl also rooted for her family and friends whom she adored and they loved her dearly. She will be missed by all her family and friends.
Survivors include her children, Cindy King and her husband Gary of Sour Lake and her son, Wade Wallace of Pflugerville, Texas; grandchildren, Heather King and her partner Grayson Langston of Charleston, South Carolina and Tyler King and his wife Casey of Lumberton.
Cheryl is preceded in death by her parents, Jessie and Dessie Hall; her sister, Darnel Dark and her brother, Jerald Hall.
A Gathering of Family and Friends will take place from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 18, 2024, at Melancon-Levingston Funeral Home in Nederland, Texas. Graveside services will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches.
