Christian Shelby Ryan Ford, 45, of Port Neches, Texas, passed away on Sunday, May 14, 2023, at his residence in Houston, Texas.
A visitation will be held Wednesday, May 24, 2023, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a memorial service starting at 6:00 p.m. at Levingston Funeral Home in Port Neches.
Shelby was born in Beaumont, Texas, on February 7, 1978, to Jon Buck Ford and Alice Perrio Ford.
He is a 1996 graduate of Port Neches-Groves High School, where he was a two-year letterman in football for the Indians. He was voted King of the school his senior year by the student body. He went on to serve our country in the United States Army. Shelby enjoyed sports, fishing, and spending time with his nieces, nephews, and other family members. He also was active as a volunteer providing service to the homeless community in Houston.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lewis Vernon Ford, and wife Rachel Irene Olsen Ford; and John D. Perrio and wife Ethel L. Lusk Perrio.
He is survived by his parents, Buck Ford and wife Wanda Carole Wrinkle Ford of Blanco, TX; and Alice Gault Nelson and husband Gene Nelson of Cypress, TX; his brother, Jon Lewis Olsen Ford and fiancé Gladys Febres of Long Island, NY; sisters, Stephanie Ford of Spring, TX; Sonya Bickley and husband Tony Bickley of Spring, TX; and Christy J. Morace of Spring, TX; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Burial will be at Houston National Military Cemetery at 11:15 a.m., June 5, 2023.
