Christine Byers, 94, of Port Arthur, Texas passed away on May 2, 2021. She was born in Oilton, Oklahoma on January 7, 1927 to the late Eugene Griffith and Pearl Hale Griffith.

Those left to cherish Christine’s memory are her children, Sandra Moreno of Port Acres, Bruce Byers and his wife Patsy of Colmesneil, Linda Watson and her husband Danny of Port Acres, and Tim Byers and his wife Holly of Port Arthur; her grandchildren, Jason, Sandy, Darrell (Jennifer), Morris (Kristy), Henry (Laura), Troy (Heather), Kelly (Roger), Timmy (Beth), Ryan (Lanee), Kenny (Jenna), and Corbin (Brooke; 24 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Charles Byers, and her grandson Luke Byers.

A gathering of family and friends will be held Thursday, May 6, 2021 at Melancon’s Funeral Home in Nederland from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. with a funeral service at 11:00 a.m., Rev. Jeff Bell officiant. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens of Jefferson County.
